Early LifeGladio was subjected to a great deal of generational abuse at the hands of his father Clarus, the severity of which varies throughout his life.The abuse included the forced consumption of drugs, poisons and other chemical or heavy metal substances in the off chance something was ever slipped into Noctis' food.It's this forced consumption that has resulted in Gladio's sterile state, leaving him unable to help his partner conceive in any conventional sense, if he ever could at all.
